AS IF IT WERE YESTERDAY | ART BOOK EDITION

28cm square printed book including poetry, verse, social documentary photography

CONTENT

These photographs form part of a project my late father Peter Donnelly started in 1962, when he won the Daily Telegraph photographic competition with a unique set of images taken in and around Birmingham & the Black Country, England. The book represents the love and respect between father and son, created to honour my dads plans for a book about Birmingham and the Black Country. I followed layouts he had previously designed and scanned the original Kodachrome images, placed pictures side by side with the accompanying verses which were imagined in my fathers later years as he looked back in retrospect.

SUBSTRATE

Highest quality print to ensure the best quality and detail available while staying staying true to the artists vision for quality print reproduction. Inner pages are a fine art substrate, uncoated with a natural heptic, this produces a particularly matt impression suited to the muted tones of film photography.

High Quality Book Binding allowing lay flat viewing

The book is bound in a special way to enable lay flat viewing and the cover has a soft touch feel with a matt clear laminate on the cover to protect from spills or wear.
